Viviane le Polain heeft ons eind 2011\/begin 2012 gecontacteerd. We waren haar aanbevolen door de G\u00eetes de Wallonie (waarmee we regelmatig samenwerken voor diverse projecten). Ze wilde de website laten ontwerpen om haar wellness-g\u00eete le Clos de Pommetier te kunnen verhuren. Omdat haar activiteit nog geen visuele identiteit had, hebben we tegelijkertijd een logo voor de g\u00eete ontworpen, gebaseerd op een element van de inrichting op haar terrein. Nadat de website gepubliceerd was, hebben we eveneens een reclamefolder voor haar ontworpen.<\/p>\n

Viviane le Polain was, voordat ze ons contacteerde, van plan om een website met CMS (content management system) te laten maken. Ze wilde zelf in staat zijn de inhoud aan te passen. Destijds was de implementatie van een website met die technologie minder eenvoudig dan nu, wat betekende dat een website met dat systeem in drie talen (niet te vermijden voor een g\u00eete) veel duurder zou zijn dan een statische website in HTML en CSS.<\/p>\n

We hebben lang gediscussierd met Viviane le Polain om na te gaan of een investering in een CMS de moeite in get gewenste resultaat te bereiken, waard was.<\/p>\n

We hebben haar, haar verwachtingen respecterend, eerder een statische website in HTML en CSS voorgesteld in plaats van een dynamische site in php van het type WordPress.<\/p>\n

Eigenschappen van de site<\/h4>\n

Uiteraard moet Viviane le Polain nu aan ons vragen om door haar gewenste wijzigingen aan de inhoud, gebaseerd op HTML en CSS, te doen (slechts \u00e9\u00e9n grote wijziging gedurende 5 jaar). In de periode dat de site is gepubliceerd, werd er nog nauwelijks gepraat over responsive design. Op het moment is de website nog niet responsive, maar hij was al wel voorbereid om gelezen te kunnen worden op zowel grotere als kleinere schermen.<\/p>\n

\nLogo-ontwerp<\/p>\n

Viviane le Polain wilde een visuele identiteit aan haar g\u00eete geven (die reeds voordat ze hem overnam Le Clos de Pommetier heette). Ze had al een idee over hoe dit eruit zou moeten zien en wilde dat we de elementen, die ze aandroeg, gebruikten voor haar logo. Het moza\u00efekpatroon is gebaseerd op een foto van een moza\u00efek, die zich op \u00e9\u00e9n van de buitenmuren bevindt. We hebben dit aan kunnen passen, zodat het omgevormd kon worden in een logo.<\/p>\n

Reclamefolder<\/h4>\n

Om qua uiterlijk coherent te blijven met de website, heeft Viviane le Polain ons vervolgens het ontwerp van haar reclamefolder ter promotie van haar g\u00eete toevertrouwd. We beschikten namelijk al over de meeste grafische elementen die nodig waren voor deze folder en hebben bovendien een gepersonaliseerde routekaart mogen ontwerpen, die eveneens online werd gezet. Omdat de g\u00eete een classificatie heeft van 4 aren, hebben we om deze kwaliteit uit te stralen, besloten om de folder te laten drukken op 400 g papier met soft touch plastificatie, wat ongebruikelijk is voor een folder. Normaliter wordt er papier tussen 130 en 250 g gebruikt.<\/p>\n

Als je op dit moment een zoekopdracht geeft voor “wellness g\u00eete in Doornik”, wordt de website van Le Clos du Pommetier als \u00e9\u00e9n van de eersten weergegeven.<\/p>\n

Van de website naar de folder<\/h2>\n

Het uitgangspunt voor communicatie kan van het ene naar het andere bedrijf verschillend zijn. In het geval van Le Clos du Pommetier is alles begonnen met een website. Viviane le Polain heeft snel begrepen dat een logo voor de g\u00eete geen verkeerd idee was (omdat de g\u00eete al een bekende naam had). Vervolgens was een reclamefolder, die in de verschillende toeristenbureau’s gelegd kon worden, een logisch gevolg.
